Conclusion
Overall, it can be concluded that human suffering can cause some people to disbelieve in God; for others it is an occasion for faith in God. Essentially, the opinions of the Catholic Church and St Augustine, believe that suffering builds a deeper connection with God, while Buddhism and Karl Marx, don’t necessarily believe in a God and reason that suffering must come to end. Each philosopher and religion draws conclusions which are viable and well-supported. However, it can be concluded that the answer to the reason suffering exists depends on each individuals perception of God and if they have faith in him, harsh realities or a subsequent spiritual realm.
